Schoolof Sport and Health,whichdatedfromBasicTheoryCourseSectionfounded in 1960and then evolved from Basic Theory Department to CollegeofSportBasicScience,was set up by integratingfourspecialtiesofHuman Movement Science,ExerciseRehabilitation,SpecialEducationand AppliedPsychology in July 2016in Shandong Sport University.

Collegeof Sport and Health hasfourprovincial first-classspecialties,a provincial key disciplinenamed human movement science and sixprovincial first-class courses.In November 2016,SpecialEducationSpecialtyGroup (including Human Movement Science,ExerciseRehabilitationand AppliedPsychology) was approved astheHigh-level AppliedSpecialtyGroupCultivationConstructionProjectof Shandong Province.The Human Movement Science Teaching Team wasawardedas theProvincialExcellentTeachingTeam in 2012, andthe ScientificResearchTeam onSportandHealth Promotion astheHuangDanianType TeacherTeam in 2018by the EducationDepartmentof Shandong Province.Collegeof Sport and Healthwas approvedastheProvincialTalent CultivationModelInnovationExperimentalAreain 2012 andtheProvincial Collaborative Innovation Centerin 2020,withtwoprovincial key laboratories of the EducationDepartment.

Collegeof Sport and Health has theProvincialExperimentalTeachingDemonstrationCenterof Human Movement Science,exerciserehabilitation laboratory, special education professional laboratory, psychological laboratoryand so on,amount to26 different typesoflaboratories,to conductthe experimental teaching work and scientific research.There arebuilding area of 3900 square meters, instruments and equipment valued at more than 32millionyuan.

The facultyareengaged in basic and applied research in sport science, and havea strong scientific researchcomprehensive strength. In recent years,theyhaveundertaken 2 nationalresearchprojects, 10researchprojectsof the National SportGeneral Administrationand 26 provincialresearchprojects. 211 papers have been published in journals of all levels, of which more than 30 have been included by SCI. 2 first-class and2 third-class prizes of theProvincialScience andTechnologyProgressAward,2third-classprizesof Science and technology Award of Chinese Sports Science Societyhave been granted.

In sport and health promotion, monitoring of sport training, sport and health care, rehabilitationofsport injury, national fitness guidance, special education, sportpsychological intervention and other fields,certain breakthroughs have beenobtained.Abatch of research projectshave beenapproved andobtained achievementswiththe verybrighttheory and applicationprospects.
