The predecessor of Shandong Sport University is Jinan Sport Collage

In August 1958, with the approval of the State Council, Shandong Sport University was established on the basis of the Jinan Sport Collage and the Department of Physical Education of Shandong Normal University. The picture shows main entrance when the university was established:

In 1978, the State Council approved the reopen of Shandong Sport University. On April 21, 1979, Shandong Province Sports Committee Party Group decided to establish the Office of Campus Preparation of SSU, and Han Zhibo (second from right, front row) was responsible for the preparation of the office.
